Pico de Orizaba, Mexico

Orizaba is a volcano and the highest peak in Mexico. The overlay for the terrain images below was created by combination and color manipulation of four Landsat satellite spectral bands. The result is a realistic true-color image that can be viewed on top of elevation data.

This image shows the general area around Orizaba. The volcano is to the right, with the town of Orizaba nestled in the valley at back-left. This view looks southwest.
