Of course, it's the best candy shopping day of the year (marked down Halloween candy). So I swung by the local Albertson's to see what they had going. They didn't have much variety for Peeps, but that's OK. There was a large box of 24 cartons of Peeps Pumpkins, marked half off. Of course I picked it up. Let's see, at 24 pumpkins per carton and 24 cartons, that's over 500 Peeps. Yeah, should last me until Easter. Or at least Christmas, when the next varieties of Peeps come out.
When my roommate came home after this episode and saw the case of Peeps in the living room, there were renewed calls by him for me to look into Peeps Anonymous.

so, dick and i have been working on some recipes of our own. peepscasarole, grilled tunapeepsandwich, peepin'noodles, peepsurprise, peeps in a blanket, and peepsmoothie. so far, the grilled tunapeepsandwich is our favorite.
next week kofi annan is coming over and i'm planning on giving him a peeps banquet...the whole meal, including the drinks (peepsmoothie) will be peeps. hope he has more than just one sweet tooth. i'll let you know how it turns out (unless CNN covers it first).
